A bus conductor became an instant local media sensation when he was spotted in September by bored commuters in Bangkok. His photos were then uploaded online and made him a household name.
Nithiroj Akkanonpat or Ley-o, 21, became a part-time model after his online fame.
In an interview with Daily News, Ley-o said he started working as a conductor when he was in high school. He said he didn’t receive any extra privilege even if he’s the son of the owner. He earns a normal wage. Nothing more, nothing less.

“First, I was ashamed [ of my job} but now I know there’s no need to be ashamed as long as your work is upright and legal,” Ley-o said.
If you’re a fan of Ley-o wondering whether you can still see him on the streets of Bangkok, then you are in for a good news. Ley-o is still a conductor of bus no. 44 getting fares and handing tickets from commuters.
You can bump into him during weekend from 7am – 10pm.
