After a long and frequent line of shooting in US schools that triggered nationwide debate over gun ownership in the United States, here comes another horrifying incident involving a male student as he started stabbing or slashing other students in a school in Murrysville, a suburb of Pittsburgh.
Twenty people were reported to be injured, mostly teenagers, in a half an hour attack in the classroom and hallways at Franklin Regional High School. The rampage started at 7:13 am (1213 GMT) as students began arriving for what should have been a regular day

The attacker was a male, but his age and other information were not immediately released, said Dan Stevens, a spokesman for Westmoreland County emergency management.
“Twenty students were injured, four of those students were flown from the scene,” Stevens told AFP.
The victims, most of them aged 14 to 17, were slashed and stabbed in “numerous classrooms and hallways” of the high school, Stevens added.
Several of those injured were in critical condition. They had been stabbed in the torso, said Chris Kaufmann to CNN, the trauma medical director at Forbes Regional Hospital.
