No offence to Cebu Pacific but because of so many delays I had with them lasting two hours sometimes, I promised myself that I will only fly with them if there is no other choice. I believe I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the airline in question’s number of delays, let alone the service and some of their rude check in clerks.
So, if I happen to fly from Cebu to Bangkok, I will try Thai Smile, a regional airline and whole subsidiary of Thailand’s flag carrier Thai Airways scheduled to operate in October this year. Having experienced flying with Thai Airways from Bangkok to Manila last year with superb service from check in until we land, I’m pretty sure Thai Smile won’t disappoint their passengers.
Thai Smile will use an airbus 320 with 162 dual class seats. That’s about 12 business class and 150 economy class. They will fly daily; three times weekly in the morning and four times weekly in the afternoon.
“We expect a good amount of traffic from both ends considering that Bangkok is one of the popular destinations for Filipino business and leisure travellers. Thailand is also located strategically between the Philippines and Europe, the Middle East, and India, where visitor traffic to the country is registering double digit growth annually,” said Wutcharin Thatan, Thai Smile executive.
Cebu – Bangkok – Cebu. Hmm, this is exciting. Oh, thanks Kuya Alex for posting the photo of Thai Smile’s new route on your Facebook. I felt compelled to blog about it. Helpful ito sa ating mga kababayan sa Cebu who wish to visit the kingdom.
