Thailand women’s volleyball team bowed to Kazakhstan on September 13 during their first ever game in the tournament with 24-26, 24-26, 25-17 and 20-25 score. But they bounced back and got to the finals against Japan.
Well, after beating Japan in three sets 25-22, 25-18 and 25-17 in Nakon Ratchasima’s Chatchai Hall at the 2013 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championships a few minutes at the time of this writing, it is safe to say they are Asia’s best!
Earlier today, top seeded China came in fourth after losing to South Korea.
Spectators flocked the hall in great numbers eager to watch the game. And to be fair with everyone, each person was entitled to purchase only one ticket.
Police officers were deployed to secure the safety of the people.
There was a report I heard about a man who traveled from Samut Prakan, and camping out of the hall at 2 am just to make sure he’ll be able to buy a ticket when the booth opens. Thanks to the Thai Spikers. They didn’t fail him.
Congratulations Thailand. The 2013 Asian Women’s Volleyball Champion!
