Thailand’s first lady leader and prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra will visit the Philippines on Thursday to strengthen and share views on a lot of bilateral and regional issues facing both countries.
They will also discuss the dispute of other countries (excluding Thailand) claiming the Spratly Group of Islands as part of their jurisdiction, including the Philippines.
Shinawatra is also scheduled to be briefed on the implementation of existing cooperation in the areas of energy, agriculture, defense, culture, education, combating drug trafficking, and disaster risk reduction and management.
The visit is in commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines andThailand.
